A self-contained set of
pictures had to be developed for the Bernaqua water park & spa in Berne in
which the laws of gravitation and time seem to have disappeared. Reality or an
illusion? Anyone who enters this oasis of relaxation and activity feels they
are in a world that has forgotten the meanings of top and bottom.
So director Daniel Reichenbach and his team decided
to carry out the shoot armed with a high-speed camera offering up to 1,500
frames per second, and to compose the planned water elements partly during
filming and partly later in post production. It was not the first time we had
worked with water and slow motion and we knew how difficult it would be to
represent flowing water properly. For this reason, Mirco Rihs and photographer
Roger Grisiger worked for days on end before finally coming up with the right
technology. Take a look at "Making of Film" to discover a few of our
tricks. Have fun.
